Red Carpet Style: Academy Awards

The Academy Awards are the Super Bowl of red carpets. 

The Oscar gowns did not disappoint Sunday night. 

My fashion faves are below.

In an attempt to grow my hair longer, I've been picking up tips along
the way in order to make my hair more healthy. 

First, I dyed my hair brunette. 

I started coloring my hair blonde at age 15, 

with regular highlight touch ups every 6-8 weeks. 

I didn't realize how dark my natural hair color really is until it donned on me that 

I haven't been to the salon in 4 months and I have no roots!

Second, I use salon quality shampoo & conditioner 

to help maintain my color and reduce fading.

My sister is a hair stylist so I definitely reap the benefits 

by always having inexpensive salon products available.

Third, I try to let my hair air dry as often as possible. 

Heat from blow-dryers, flat irons, and curling irons can damage hair.

Lastly, I use a split-end treatment after showering 

which helps extend time between trims. 

I have definitely seen a difference in the health of my hair by practicing 

these tips, and my hair has gotten longer as a result!

The Next Chapter: Intern at BCBGMAXAZRIA

I accepted a buying internship for BCBGMAXAZRIA at the Los Angeles office in December 

and now I can officially announce that I finally signed my contract!

I am so beyond excited for this opportunity. It has been my dream since I was 15 years old to start a 

career in the fashion industry in California. I can't believe it's actually happening! 

Starbucks runs on a daily basis.

Starting at the bottom of the fashion food chain.

I booked my flight yesterday.

Start date: March 5, 2012.

(time to freak out!)

Red Carpet Style: Grammy Awards

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards were entertaining, tearful, and a little bit crazy. 

All in all tough it was a great night for music... and Adele! 

The biggest trends on the red carpet were black, white, and sparkle! 

Below are my picks for Best Dressed.

I must own Kate Beckinsale's dress, the bow is adorable!

Carrie Underwood always looks so glamourous. 

My jaw dropped the second Rihanna stepped on the carpet. One word: perfection!

I was also pleasantly surprised by Paris who looked beautiful in an ivory embellished gown.
