24

Last weekend I celebrated my 24th birthday, and it could not have been more perfect. My parents came to visit and stayed with Greg and I. It was so nice having them in town and showing them our new place for the first time. We spent the weekend walking around Hermosa Beach, shopping, and enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner at Nobu Malibu. I have a feeling 24 is going to be a great year!

Looking Back at 2013

2013 proved to be a great year for me. The most exciting change that happened this year
was my boyfriend, Greg, moving to California. We added a new addition to our family: Zoey kitty.
I continued my career at BCBG, and really settled into living in LA.
I can't wait to see what 2014 will bring! Happy New Year!

Cookies-n-Cream Cookies

Last week I baked these delicious Cookies-n-Cream Cookies for a work party.
They aren't very festive but definitely a crowd-pleaser!
I used the recipe below that I discovered via Pinterest.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Cookies N Cream Bars chopped

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter, oil and sugars. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.

Add remaining ingredients. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 7-9 minutes.

Let's Talk Lashes

Nowadays, it's all about lashes. And with so many different mascaras out there, it's hard to choose.
Some promise to lengthen, others claim to make lashes look fuller. My mascara routine includes two different formulas: CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion (found at any drugstore) and Benefit They're Real! (found at Sephora).
I use CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion first, the brush helps separate all my lashes.
I then use 2 coats of Benefit They're Real which thickens and lengthens to create a look similar to falsies.

Fall Nail Polish

I'm loving deep, moody colors for fall, especially Bordeaux, which fits in with the oxblood trend this season.
I'm currently wearing Stylenomics, which is a dark green that almost looks black. What's your go-to polish color for fall?
