{Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer}

I am a loyal Laura Mercier fan, I can't live without their oil-free primer in the summer.
I decided to try the 2-in-1 tinted moisturizer when I ran out foundation & moisturizer all in the same week!
Lightweight, blends seamlessly, and amazing coverage...what more could a girl ask for? I am officially hooked!

Style Trend: Peter Pan Collar

{Crochet Peter Pan Collar}

I found this adorable blouse on sale this weekend and could not resist the Peter Pan collar.
This sweet detail is a huge trend for fall, with many variations to choose from.
Check out the inspirations I found on Pinterest below.

Wear Now / Wear Later

{Steve Madden Ankle Boots}

Is it fall yet? I am anxiously awaiting cooler weather filled with fabulous fall fashion.
A great way to transition your summer wardrobe into fall is by throwing on a pair of ankle boots.
These have become my go-to shoe the past week, as they add the perfect edge to a flirty printed dress or cut-offs
In a few months when the temps drop, I'll pair my ankle boots with leggings and oversized cozy cardigans.
Check out the celebs below rocking ankle boots.

{DIY} Transform Curling Iron into Wand

I never mastered curling my hair by using the clamp on a curling iron. I'm just not coordinated enough.
Instead, I simply wrap a section of hair, away from my face, around the barrel without using the clamp.
I decided to turn my curling iron into a wand by removing the clamp and the spring all together.
All you need to transform your curling iron into a wand is a screw driver and about 1 minute of your time.
P.S. I have a Conair 1-1/4 inch curling iron, which is the perfect size to create loose waves.

MC Home

I finally found chairs for my coffee table. I decided on chairs instead of a couch
because I have this cozy little nook in my studio and it's just too small for a sofa.
I love the idea of being tucked away in the nook while enjoying a glass of wine with a friend.
I'm still on the hunt for pillows and wall art to complete the seating area.

I found the upholstered chairs at Home Goods and got an amazing deal!
I instantly fell in love with the subtle print and studs lining these oversized chairs.
I didn't realize until I got them home that they are Cynthia Rowley - I adore them even more now!
I also found a vintage-inspired glass jar which now holds my ever-growing nail polish collection.

{Current/Elliot Jeans}

Last week a co-worker and I discovered the Joie employee store at their corporate office
right around the corner from BCBG. The employee store is not only for employees luckily.
We ventured to the store on our lunch break for a little retail therapy.

We found clothes & shoes from Joie, Equipment and Current/Elliot at sample sale prices.
I was drooling over the racks of printed dresses & silk blouses and tables piled with stacks of denim.
 I love a good classic wash to mix in with my colored denim. I scored this pair of perfectly-fitting skinnies for just $40!

Must Have: Cut Offs

With record-breaking heat across the country,
there's no better way to keep cool and fashionable than denim cut offs.
Try pairing them with sheer flowy tops or take a classic approach with a simple white tee.
Wedges & platform sandals kick this summer look up a notch.

I love having a clothing rack to display the items that I find myself reaching for day after day
this season: girly dresses and a leather jacket for the chilly nights.

Turquoise Coffee Table - Etsy

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Anyone who says they don't eat the batter while they bake chocolate chip cookies is lying.
But gone are the days of worrying about Salmonella after I found this recipe on
Pinterest via Fun Foods on a Budget - chocolate chip cookie dough with no eggs!

{Cupcakes and Cashmere by Emily Schuman}

I start my mornings by reading Cupcakes and Cashmere with a cup of coffee.
When Emily announced she was writing a book, I knew it would be a must-read.
I had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the book and last night
a package was nestled at my door when I came home from work.
After tearing open the box, I promptly read it cover to cover,
enjoying each page more than the previous and feeling inspired.
