Sunny

Spring is officially here which means floral sundresses & straw hats are on repeat. This is my favorite season for fashion - I can't get enough of the colorful prints and breezy fabrics this time of year. I scored this little yellow number from T.J. Maxx recently and love the way my navy hat plays off the blue hues in the dress. The weather in Florida has been amazing lately and I'm trying to soak up every minute outside in the sunshine before the impending summer humidity arrives.

Lace Up Romper

I would live in rompers if it wasn't for the whole having-to-get-completely-naked-to-pee thing. They are just so easy to throw on for an instant outfit. Of course, accessories are a must - in this case a chevron printed headband and a cognac clutch & booties. I actually had another spot in mind to shoot this outfit, but when we pulled up, there were "no trespassing" signs everywhere. Rather than risk it, we drove around looking for another location. We stumbled upon this vacant building which had the prettiest colored floor, which coincidentally matched my headband perfectly.

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Pizza is one of my favorite foods - I love how versatile it is. We often make pizza at home and get creative with toppings. This all-veggie pizza turned out delicious, with a homemade cauliflower crust and piled high with colorful vegetables.

ingredients
1 head of cauliflower, broken into florets
2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
2 eggs, beaten
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil

directions
{1}
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper. Generously grease parchment paper with olive oil.
{2}
In small batches, pulse cauliflower in a food processor until it becomes rice like. Lay riced cauliflower on several layers of paper towels or a clean dish towel. Pat dry and try to squeeze out as much liquid as possible to remove the moisture from the cailiflower.
{3}
Place cauliflower in a large mixing bowl and add beaten eggs, minced garlic, garlic powder, basil, black paper and mozzarella cheese. Combine well.
{4}
Place mixture on parchment paper and form into a pizza shape (we had a ton so we filled an entire baking sheet - hello leftover pizza)
{5}
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 375 degrees until golden brown. Remove from heat and allow to rest about 10 minutes before adding toppings.
{6}
Create the pizza using whatever toppings you like - we used traditional tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, zucchini, asparagus, sundried tomatoes, onion, fresh basil & crushed red pepper flakes.
{7}
Bake again for 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts. Enjoy!

Yellow

More often than not, I plan my outfit around a pair of shoes, starting from the bottom and working my way up. This look, for example, is all about the yellow heels. I wanted them to be the focus so I kept everything else simple and classic - jeans & a button down are pretty much fool-proof. The details are my favorite though: feminine bows mixed with raw hem denim.
