Style Resolutions

With the new year approaching, it's a great time to make resolutions, not only the standard "eat healthier" and "floss more," but aspirations for personal style. When Farfetch approached me to participate in the competition they are hosting for new year fashion resolutions, I thought it would be fun to come up with my own style goals for 2016.

1. Invest in a quality leather jacket that will only get better with age.

2. I've always been a heels girl (I'm 5'2 so I love a good 4 inch heel!), but I'm missing that sexy red heel in my collection.

3. Step up my workout gear and add something other than black cropped leggings to the rotation.

4. Find a pair of flats that are so cute they will make me want to ditch my heels for a day.

5. I love the look of a little lace peeking out of a basic t-shirt but I need something to wear with backless shirts.

  1. Great style resolutions, girlie! I agree with investing in a good quality jacket! It's so important since we wear them a lot, that the style and quality are made for frequent wear :) I hope you're having a wonderful day so far!

    1. Me too - I tested out a faux one for a few years and wear it so much I'm starting to justify the investment! Thanks so much Amy Ann!

You chose some great quality items. I always go for classic things that stand the test of time and tend to gravitate towards plain black workout clothes like you. I love those palm print leggings!

Love the idea of investing in a leather jacket, Meghan! They really are an investment that you will have for years to come and they only get better with age...only problem is picking which one to get! Thanks for sharing your fashion resolutions and I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!

  18. I couldn't agree with you more. I did a post on faux vs real the other week. I feel that faux is for disposable clothing. Inexpensive pieces you want for a quick-flash trend moment. Real leather is for a lifetime. This jacket you presented is gorgeous. As we've seen the Moro style jacket has been hot for many season now. I'm sure at some point it will cool down. Then you can tuck this beauty away and pull it out again in 5yrs. Great pick. Love it!
